Courageous rescuers continue to enter heavily bombed areas in Ukraine to save abandoned animals left without food or water. The terrified and traumatized animals are brought back to shelters who feed them nutritious food, thanks to your donations.

A truckload of dog food was distributed across Ukraine to help feed over 300 dogs rescued from the frontlines.

Greater Good Charities' partner, United for Animals (UfA), shared with us the current situation and how your donations are making a huge difference in the lives of abandoned dogs.

"Over 300 dogs from the front-line town, as well as dozens of dogs evacuated from other settlements along the front line, are now provided with food!"

Russian forces continue to advance on several fronts, putting more animals in harm's way.

UfA goes on to explain the heartbreaking situation, "Both people and animals are suffering from the war. Animals, who cannot understand what is happening or ask for help, are left behind by their owners, often in locked enclosures or on chains, without food or water, enduring unbearable heat and shelling; they hide in the ruins of their homes hoping their owners will return, as animals do not understand betrayal or hold grudges."

Your continued support helps feed these innocent animals until they are reunited with their families or new homes are found.

Dogs are not the only animals rescued from the destroyed villages. During a recent rescue mission, several dogs were found tied to trees as well as goats, horses, and cows in need of rescue.

UfA shared, "Our partners have managed to evacuate cows, goats, geese, ducks, chickens, and of course dogs and cats, as well as camels, from Lyptsi in recent days. We are committed to evacuating all animals, no matter how difficult it may be."

The rescuers and the animals send their thanks. UfA states, "You have helped many people, who feed dozens of dogs, to stay hopeful, knowing how painful it is to go out with nothing and look into those hungry eyes…"
