32 Neglected Dogs Rescued from Hoarding Case in Florida Need Urgent Medical Care

Escambia County Animal Welfare rescued 32 dogs from an overcrowded home in Florida when the owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for the animals.

They have endured neglect and conditions that no animal should ever have to experience.

The dogs range in age from puppies to seniors and have not had medical care for years. As a result, several are suffering from eye and skin infections, heart disease, kidney stones, parasites, and painful overgrown nails.

While all need medical care, some are in worse condition than others - mostly the senior dogs.

A senior bulldog was found struggling to breathe and barely able to walk due to overgrown nails. Another dog has a heart condition and needs medication for the rest of his life. Others are struggling to see, while one older chihuahua needs treatment for kidney stones.

Since these dogs have not been vaccinated, a makeshift emergency animal shelter was created in an empty building to care for the dogs until they were cleared by a vet.

The dogs are finally in a safe, clean environment getting nutritious food they need to survive and thrive. Their rescue was only the beginning - now they need us to help them heal and build the lives they should have had all along.

These 32 dogs have a lot of firsts ahead of them. The first time they have felt safe, experienced kindness, received necessary medical care, full bellies, soft beds, and so much more.

With your support, they will get the medical care they need to heal and go on to find loving homes. Donate today to show these dogs someone cares and brighter days are ahead.
