Mama Deer Runs To Help When She Hears Baby Crying On The Porch

When 25-year-old Hanna Burton and her 5-week-old son, Charlie, went out to the porch for some fresh air and tummy time, they never could've expected what would happen next.

Being a young baby, Charlie wasn't a fan of tummy time. Like many babies placed on their bellies, he was upset and began to cry.

Now, most new moms can hear a baby crying and instantly respond. It's like having a baby creates a primal instinct to look after the baby and a cry can trigger that instinct.

It seems that's not just true for humans for animals as well! As soon as Charlie started crying, a mama deer charged from the nearby woods to see what was wrong.

In a viral TikTok video, you can see the deer in the yard who came running full-speed at the sound of Charlie's cries. It was almost as if she wanted to help!

Hanna shared the video saying, "When you almost have to throw down with a momma deer because your baby starts crying outside."

After realizing the baby was a human and wasn't in trouble, the mama deer calmly walked back into the woods.

Hanna later shared an update video on the mama deer, showing that she has two healthy young babies!

The mama deer brought the fawns back to the yard. Perhaps she was hoping for a play date. Check out the clip below:
