Shelter life is hard, especially for cats that are surrendered repeatedly like Meowchael Clark Duncan (better known as Meow).

This sweet black cat arrived as a stray and has sadly been in and out of the shelter since 2020 due to no fault of his own. He was returned to Florida Keys SPCA when his owner could no longer care for him.

The instability can take a mental and physical toll on cats, but Meow is taking comfort in donated supplies.

His caretakers shared, "Thanks to the warm blanket, Meow can have a safe place to cuddle with his own scent, giving him a place to relax in the colony room with other cats. Because of the Chi-CAT-a Catnip Banana, he can have an exciting playtime session, stimulating his physical needs. Finally, the Soft & Tasty Bits for Cats- Tuna Recipe, gives our staff a chance to practice reward based training with Meow. This helps break up the monotony of shelter life, providing excitement and stimulating his mental state to help keep him and the other cats from deteriorating while they wait for their forever homes."
