Blind Three-Legged Kitten Finds Forever Home On National Kitten Day

When a tiny kitten named Noodle was hit by a car back in May 2023, she ended up being taken in by the Greenville Humane Society.

They did everything they could to help little Noodle. While they saved her life following the car accident, they couldn't save her front leg and ultimately made the decision to amputate it.

It can be hard to find a home for every cat or kitten that needs one, and placing a cat with special needs is even trickier.

To make matters worse, Noodle ended up being blind!

The Greenville Humane Society shared on Facebook, "After just a few weeks of great recovery, Noodle was ready to be spayed. During her spay surgery, her heart suddenly stopped. Our team immediately stepped in and revived her. Unfortunately, because of this, she has suffered the loss of vision in both eyes. It is very unlikely that her eyesight will ever recover, and now she’s working on adjusting to not only living life with only three legs, but also blind in both eyes."

The humane society posted about her in honor of National Kitten Day, which fell on July 10th, 2023. They hoped to get some interest from people in the friendly 3.5-month-old special needs kitten. They wrote in the post, "We would love to find her a comfortable, stable home where she can grow into a confident cat. She would do best in a home with another friendly cat that can help show her the ropes and be her guide throughout life. If you think sweet Noodle would be a good fit for your home, stop by to meet her today!"

Amazingly, it didn't even take one day for Noodle to be adopted! Shortly after posting about her, they shared an update that read, "Her new family is filling out the adoption paperwork as we speak!"

Noodle ended up going to her new home that same day. We're so happy for her!
