Cat Missing One Eye and Dragging Injured Leg Gets Second Chance
Andrea Powell
75 shelter animals left LA County shelters on our emergency Flight to Freedom to make space for hundreds of animals rescued from horrible conditions. One of the lucky passengers on the flight was a cat named Captain Wink.

Captain Wink got his name because he arrived missing one eye and dragging an injured leg that was never treated. His leg needed to be amputated, and his eye socket sown shut.

He underwent surgery and is on the road to recovery. He was cleared to fly to get the second chance he deserves to find a loving home.

Captain Wink is at a shelter in Idaho thanks to Flight to Freedom where he is continuing to heal before being put up for adoption.

Your donations make these life-saving flights possible and give shelter cats like Captain Wink a chance to find a family of his own. Thank you for your continued support. Donate now to support next month's flight.
