Christina Ricci Heartbroken Over The Loss Of Her "Best Friend", Dog Karen Carpenter

Actress Christina Ricci took to Instagram this past weekend to share some devastating news. Her senior dog, Karen Carpenter, had passed away at the age of 15.

She paid tribute to her "best friend" who died on Friday with three separate posts on Instagram stories, which disappear after 24 hours.

According to People, the first post read, "My beautiful little best friend Karen Carpenter died on Friday. She was a lady and the best little soul I've ever known. My best friend for 15 years. So many of you knew her and loved her."

It went on to say, "Apparently all dogs go to heaven. She hated other dogs so I hope she's in the humans-only area. She loved people. She was so kind."

The second story showed a picture of her 9-year-old son Freddie as a baby alongside Karen and stated, "She was Fred's first best friend." She concluded the tribute with a photo of herself with Karen, and it is obvious how much she will be missed.

Ricci is finding comfort with her other dogs, Logan and Patrick.

She does her best to ensure her dogs eat the best food and live long, happy lives. She partnered with Stella & Chewy in 2022 to encourage other pet owners to feed their pets high-quality food.

Ricci said, "As an avid pet lover and parent myself, I'm lucky to be surrounded by my dogs' raw love, like when they snuggle up with us on the couch for cuddles or offer up endless affection by licking my kids' faces. To return the love they show me each day, I encourage my dogs Patrick, Logan and Karen Carpenter to keep being their unfiltered, playful selves by feeding them a non-processed diet that helps them stay energized and healthy."
