Couple Buys House And Adopts Dog The Owners Left In The Yard
When April Parker and her husband started the homebuying process, they didn't expect to add a new member to their family, but that's exactly what happened.
April took to TikTok to share that when they finally settled on a house to buy, they learned the previous homeowners left their dog tied to a tree in the backyard.
While that's sad in its own right, April further shared that the dog, Molly, was 10 years old and she'd been with the previous owners her whole life!
It's hard to think of anyone abandoning their pet to such an uncertain fate, but lucky for Molly, her life was about to change for the better.
April speculated that the poor dog had spent most of her life tied to a tree in the yard, without proper attention or medical care. "She will never be left all alone tied to a tree," April promised.

@geaux75 The people that sold our house to us left behind their 10yr old dog they had since it was a puppy. I was so stressed we wouldnt get the house and something bad would happeb to her. We are going to maje her life so good. She will never be left all alone tied to a tree. 😭😢@roodytoots ♬ Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) [2018 Remaster] - Kate Bush
Since April and her husband moved into the home, Molly's life has only gotten better and better.
Molly got to experience what it's like being an inside dog and I think it's safe to say that she loves it.
Beyond that, she's treated to tons of treats, goodies, toys, and love. She's really living her best life.

Unfortunately, Molly did test positive for heartworms. Since her previous owners were neglectful and didn't offer her heart guard medication, Molly didn't stand a chance.
April wrote on TikTok, "We are doing the full treatment that will be administered over the next few months. We are hopeful treatment will help her not only feel better but will slow progression of the disease."
@geaux75 We took Molly to visit Colony Animal Clinic. We would like to thank Dr. Midkiff , Sarah,Crystal, Naomi, Kim and Kennedy for being amazing with Molly. Unfortunately she did test heartworm positive and does have some right sided heart myopathy. We are doing the full treatment that will be administered over the next few months. We are hopeful treatment will help her not only feel better but will slow progression of the disease. Thank you to our tiktok family for the Venmo’s it helped significantly with the bill. We really love how many people love Molly. When you watch the news you feel like the world is full of bad people. I have found the world is actually full of amazing people and I feel so blessed by so many of them. We love yall! ❤️🐕🐾🐶🐾@roodytoots @stoopid_sayrie @crystalrockwell1 ♬ Dream Away - Ramol
While she's going through treatment, April is making sure that she's comfortable, living her life inside and outside and surrounded by friends.
She even made a new cat friend!
@geaux75 We had a big storm this morning and Molly was having a hard time. Joofus got on the bed and started comforting her. It was the sweetest thing. They got snuggled up and Molly went to sleep. Animals are amazing. #mollysnewlife #petsarefamily ♬ I Won't Let Go - Rascal Flatts
