Depressed Shelter Dog Won't Leave Her Bed, Even For Treats

Depressed Shelter Dog Won't Leave Her Bed, Even For Treats

Sadly, many working dog breeds end up in shelters because people don't have the time, energy, or desire to exercise these dogs both mentally and physically.

Life in a shelter is stressful and especially hard on dogs that are constantly overlooked. For the past 42 days, a husky named Pink has watched as people pass by her and adopt other dogs. She just wants someone to love.

Julie Saraceno, a volunteer dog walker for Tri-Cities Animal Shelter, posted a video on TikTok showing just how depressed Pink is at the shelter. She wrote, "Pink seemed so sad today when I went to say hello. She wouldn’t even get up for a treat."

The sweet girl remained on her bed and watched as yet another person strolled by.

Julie's heart wasn't the only one breaking for Pink. Thousands of viewers stated how beautiful she is and hope that she finds her person soon.

"Ahhhhh, I want to scream...that sweet face breaks my heart 💔," wrote one viewer.

Another person commented, "She’s absolutely beautiful! Yes, she’s a working dog that will require lots of one on one, but I can promise you...she will be worth it!!"

Julie shared the video to try and find the perfect person for Pink. She will need an active family who promises to love her unconditionally.

Pink is a typical husky who likes to "sing" and has a lot to say. She just needs someone to talk to. Are you her person?

All hope is not lost.

Pink is still looking for a forever home but is being transferred to The NOAH Center in the western Washington. The animal shelter takes at-risk pets from overcrowded shelters and gives them the second chance they deserve.

Anyone interested in adopting Pink can reach out to them. Adopt don't shop!
