Meet Checkers.

The three-year-old tuxedo cat was rescued off the streets with other feral cats as part of TNR (trap-neuter-release). However, his sweet and loving demeanor landed him in a foster home until he could find a loving home.

Just as life was improving for Checkers, he took a turn for the worse. His fosters found him on his side struggling to breathe and rushed him to the vet.

He was diagnosed with severe asthma and needs your support to get the care he needs to breathe freely.

Checkers will need to be on medication for the rest of his life and a nebulizer box to help him breathe easier. He has so much love to give and deserves a second chance.

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund helps sick and injured animals get the life-saving care they need, thanks to your continued support. Countless lives have been saved, but there are many more in need of emergency medical care.

Donate today to help Checkers breathe easy and find a loving home.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
