Pasadena Humane has taken in hundreds of animals, many with injuries from the wildfires, like poor Roxy.

This normally white dog arrived at the shelter terrified and unrecognizable covered in ash and severe burns. 

She was pulled from a collapsed house destroyed by the Eaton Fire and rushed to the shelter's ICU. 

The medical team immediately started to treat the burns covering her body and face. They shared, "She has severe burns on her face and body, as well as ulcers in her eyes due to the fire exposure. Her gums are extremely inflamed from carbon monoxide inhalation." 

She is receiving pain medications, antibiotics for her eyes, treatment for her wounds, and resting comfortably in an oxygen kennel. 

Pasadena Humane is at ground zero of the Eaton Fire animal welfare response effort. They are working tirelessly to save every lost and injured pet that comes through their doors, to take in pets that owners are forced to surrender after losing their homes, and to reconnect lost pets with their families. We are in awe of their heroism and honored to support them.
