Meet Monet

The 11-year-old polydactyl cat was surrendered to a shelter by her family who no longer wanted her. The beautiful white cat with different colored eyes and a sweet demeanor arrived in need of medical care.

Her previous owners would not provide a name, so the shelter named her "Monet" due to her beauty. Monet has not been to a vet in years.

She underwent tests and exams and appeared to be in good health, until one day she started to struggle to breathe and refused to eat.

Monet was rushed to the animal clinic where the medical staff discovered something on her X-rays. Her caretakers shared, "X-rays showed that at some point she’d suffered from a partially collapsed lung (likely from previous trauma or serious illness). The scar tissue & the positioning of the lung was pushing on her heart, causing it to work extra hard."

She has been started on an intense medication regime to help relieve the pressure on her heart and help her lungs function properly. Her medical bills are quickly adding up and she needs your support to get the care she needs to heal.
