Someone Shot Stray Cat, Vince, and Stole His Ability to Walk

A friendly stray cat, called "Vacation Vince", was spotted unable to walk and animal control officers were called to help.

Vince was taken to Helping Hands Humane Society where he underwent X-rays and an examination. The medical team was devastated by what they found- a bullet lodged in the femur of his hind leg.

The five-year-old cat was likely shot while running away. Nobody knows who pulled the trigger. Nobody knows why. What we know is that Vince — a stray cat who had been surviving on the streets the way stray cats do, by his wits and his will and sheer stubborn determination — was found with a bullet in his hind leg, unable to walk, and in desperate need of care.

He had his mobility taken from him and needs your support to get it back.

Due to the location of the bullet, the best option is to amputate the damaged leg to relieve his pain and give him a chance at a comfortable life.

Vince will need surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing care to adjust to life on three legs. His road to recovery will be long and expensive. Vince has already proven he is a fighter. He survived being shot. He survived the streets. But surviving what comes next requires something he cannot do alone.
