Update: Faith is adjusting to life without her sight and is doing well. She is surrounded by people who love and care about her. She is often found basking in the sun and enjoying pets from staff and volunteers at the shelter.
Thank you for your support and helping to restore Faith's trust in mankind. Read her full story below.

Faith is a three-year-old dog who spent her entire life on the streets of India. She is one of millions of dogs who roam the streets looking for food and shelter.
The sweet girl befriended a shopkeeper who fed her and the two formed a bond. She saw the area as her home and protected it as such. The loyal dog even defended the shop when thieves arrived to rob it.

She stood by the shopkeeper and helped defend his shop. However, the cruel thieves later captured Faith and tortured her for interfering.
They brutally gouged out both of her eyes and left her to die. The Tree of Life for Animals (TOFLA) rescue team was contacted to help save her. They arrived and found her in horrible condition with her eyeballs hanging from their sockets and rushed her to a local animal clinic.

There was no way to save her eyes, so she underwent emergency surgery to remove them. She has a long road to recovery ahead as she adjusts to life without her sight and learns to trust humans again.
Despite all the pain and suffering she endured, she is still friendly with staff and will remain as a disabled dog at the shelter.

Donate today to help cover Faith's medical bills and ongoing care. She deserves to live the rest of her life with a full belly in a safe environment surrounded by people who love her.
