Senior Dog Hit by Speeding Car and Left Seriously Injured Needs Our Help
UPDATE:
This sweet senior pup has made a full recovery, thanks to your donations. She is being cared for by a community of animal lovers and sends her thanks.
Meet Toeythalay.
This sweet nine-year-old stray dog was struck by a speeding car and was found with serious injuries at a nearby gas station.
She was unable to move and heavily bleeding from wounds on her abdomen and pelvic area.
Soi Dog Foundation rushed her to an animal hospital who discovered she was also anemic and suffering from an open fracture on her left hind leg.
The poor dog was started on pain medication, IV fluids and antibiotics as the medical team treated her wounds.
She will need reconstruction surgery on her leg and weeks of recovery for the best chance at walking again.
Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund was contacted to help cover her ongoing medical care. We need your support to help Toeythalay get the care she needs to heal from this traumatic incident.
Pets receiving critical care facilitated by an Emergency Animal Medical grant may not be eligible for adoption until they have completed their course of treatment. If you would like to inquire about adoption of a specific animal, we strongly encourage you to visit the shelter’s specific website first as that is often the most up to date place to learn about available pets and review the adoption policies and process.
Help us meet our goal of $3,000 for Toeythalay and pets like her. Your gift will not only give her the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover her ongoing care.
