Abused Kitten With Shattered Leg Needs Surgery to Walk Without Pain

Meet Tripp

This poor kitten has been mistreated his whole life and his body has the wounds to show it. He was rescued when he was just four weeks old along with two other kittens.

A concerned neighbor called Magnolia's Hope Kitten Rescue in South Carolina for help when she saw the kittens being kicked and captured them before more damage could be done.

All the kittens had severe upper respiratory problems, and Tripp was limping when the rescue took them in. The kittens were started on antibiotics and X-rays were taken of Tripp's leg. The rescue told us, "The X-rays revealed his bones in his leg including the growth plate were shattered beyond repair. The vet said that this type of injury comes from someone intentionally stomping or kicking and that the infection that had set in indicated this was not something that happened to him recently."

The only option is to amputate the leg to relieve the pain. However, Tripp is underweight and too small to have surgery. He will need to be on pain medication and have the infected leg drained until he regains his strength.

Will you help him heal?

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is assisting with his ongoing medical bills but needs your support. The fund saves the lives of animals like Tripp who are in desperate need of emergency care. With your continued support, more animals will get the care they need and a second chance.

Even through all the pain, Tripp remains a friendly kitten who just wants to be loved. Help us raise $6,000 for Tripp and animals like him.
