Dog Passenger "Good News" On September Flight to Freedom Finds Forever Home

Remember the adorable dog named "Good News" who was a passenger on our September Flight to Freedom?

Well, he just got the best news...

The friendly one-year-old American bulldog was found in an overnight surrender kennel alongside a much smaller dog at a Louisiana shelter. He earned his name because he is such a good boy and the shelter staff kept discovering more and more "good news" about him.

He gets along with other dogs, loves people of ages, and is super affectionate.

His journey to happiness started on September 19 when he boarded the Flight to Freedom and landed in Wisconsin. He was greeted by staff at Elmbrook Humane Society and transported back to the shelter.

It didn't take long for a family to see what a good boy he is and adopt him. Elmbrook Humane Society shared a photo of the entire family smiling alongside Good News.

There are only good times ahead for him.

Thanks to your generous donations we were able to help Good News and hundreds more find their happy endings. Sadly, there are countless more shelter pets in need of rescuing. Will you help us fly shelter pets to freedom?

Every month we sponsor a Greater Good Charities' Good Flight (called Flight to Freedom) and fly dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters to shelters with adopters waiting to meet them.

Animal shelters are at or over capacity with more animals arriving daily. They are having to place kennels in the halls, and some are having to make the difficult decision to euthanize.

Elmbrook Humane Society is a no-kill organization who will not euthanize due to lack of space, age, breed, length of stay, or whom may have acute or chronic health conditions that can be treated prior to adoption or managed by a new family. They want to find every animal in their care a loving home.

Check out all their adoptable animals here.

Every dog and cat deserves a loving home. Join us in helping more shelter pets find loving homes by donating towards their Flight to Freedom. Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety.
