Mother & Infant Aid Kits Help Ukrainian Families Ensure Their Children Are Nourished and Cared For

As Russia continues to bomb and attack Ukraine in an attempt to gain control of the small country, Ukrainian citizens are fighting for their lives and their freedom. Supply-chain delays and infrastructure failures caused by the war have created resource shortages across the nation. Thousands of people have lost their homes and loved ones, and many are living in cramped quarters where access to food, power, and other necessities are intermittent and far from guaranteed.

Among those who are most affected by these poor living conditions are children and infants. Parents are having trouble making sure their children are warm, fed, and have everything they need to survive and thrive. Special care items for little ones, such as formula and diapers, are often in short supply.

This, of course, will not do. Every child in the world deserves a safe living environment with all the basic necessities and comforts that modern life can provide for them. In that spirit, GreaterGood has begun an initiative to bring Mother & Infant Care Packages to the young families of Ukraine who need them most.

Bakhmut, Ukraine, is an area in the eastern part of the country that Russia recently took over. Refugees have fled from that area in search of safer living conditions, including many families with young children.

GreaterGood recently sponsored a giveaway of Mother & Infant Care Packages at a church in the Dnepropetrovsk region, where many of these families have fled, to help supply them with the baby items they may need. 50 families were supplied with basic infant-care necessities at that event.

Each of our care packages contains a wide variety of infant care items, such as formula, diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, pacifiers, socks, mittens, soap, toothbrushes, clothing, and baby blankets.

Full-size blankets, bed linens, and food boxes were also distributed to young mothers and fathers in Dnepropetrovsk to help keep their families warm and fed.

Ukrainian families continue to need your help. Every penny of your contribution goes to helping children in desperate situations. Please donate today!
