Read how your donations changed the life of a malnourished husky named Demi.
This sweet girl arrived at an Oklahoma shelter underweight, missing most of her fur, and suffering from extremely inflamed skin.
Jenni, with Husky Halfway House, was heartbroken when she saw Demi's picture and knew the rescue had to help her.

"Her skin, raw and inflamed, was a painful shade of pink, and at first, we thought it might be mange," recalls her rescuers.
Demi was rushed to veterinarian who said she was suffering from a painful, but not contagious, case of Demodex, which is caused by mites.
Her journey to recovery was long and slow. Your donations ensured she had the proper food to slowly regain her strength and health. She devoured her meals and each week continued to gain weight.

Her hair also started to grow back to reveal her true beauty. Demi is finally living her best life, and she is grateful for your support.
The rescue shared, "Today, Demi isn’t just surviving—she’s thriving. Whether she’s playfully gnawing on her friends while lounging on her bed or curled up in the office keeping the humans company, she’s finally living the life she deserves. Thanks to the right food and a lot of love, Demi looks—and feels—like the husky she was always meant to be."
