Harrison Ford Tears Up During Standing Ovation Of "Indiana Jones" Premiere

80-year-old Harrison Ford first made his debut as archaeologist Jones in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom back in 1984. Since then, fans have been treated to quite the film series, which is sadly coming to an end.

The fifth and final installment in the Indiana Jones film series, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.

However, guests at the 76th Cannes Film Festival were treated to the world premiere of the movie, and viewers were blown away by Ford's performance.

In fact, according to Variety, Ford fought back tears as the crowd gave him a 5-minute standing ovation!

He was then called to the stage where he bid farewell to his role of a lifetime.

He said, "I'm very moved by this. They say when you're about to die, you see your life flash before your eyes, and I just saw my life flash before my eyes. A great part of my life, but not all of my life. My life has been enabled by my lovely wife, who has supported my passion and my dreams, and I'm grateful."

The ever-humble Ford ended his speech with a tribute to the audience. He said, "I love you, too. But I've got a movie you ought to see. It's right behind me. So let me get out of the way, and thank you again for this great honor."
