One-Eyed Survivor Escapes War Zone and Finally Finds a Loving Home
Andrea Powell
Lala, owner of 12 Guards, continues to go to dangerous areas near the frontlines in Ukraine to save animals left behind. Even though she is already caring for dozens of animals, she (like our other hero, Krystina) cannot walk away from an animal in need.
During a recent rescue mission, Lala and her team discovered a malnourished cat near a destroyed home. They approached slowly and noticed that he was missing one eye. Who knows the horrors this cat has seen.

Each day was filled with fear and an empty stomach - but those days are finally behind him.
He deserved a second chance and to experience life in a safe and loving home. The starving feline cautiously approached Lala who was able to capture him.

His fur was coming out in clumps and his frail body desperately needed food and rest. He was cared for, thanks in part to your donations, and eventually made a full recovery.
Even though he only has one eye, he gets around fine. After having the time to heal physically and emotionally, he was ready to find someone to love. His story reached a person in Poland who knew that he was the one for them.

He is now living his best life that is filled with snuggles, nutritious food, and naps in the sun. He is one of the lucky ones who made it out of the war zone alive and got the second chance he deserved.
Your donations help evacuated animals like him get the food and medical care they need to heal. There are so many more waiting to be rescued and to find loving homes. Donate now to help save more lives.
