Patron Pet Center has been a safe haven for animals evacuated from heavily bombed areas in Ukraine since the war began.

Air raids continue across Ukraine endangering even more abandoned and stray dogs and cats. Military members and courageous volunteers rescue these innocent animals and bring them to the center.

Evacuated animals arrive daily at the center in need of medical care and nutritious meals. Thanks to your generous donations, Patron Pet Center is in the process of building a much-needed quarantine room and community cat area.

When animals arrive sick and with contagious diseases, they need to be properly treated and quarantined. The room will have heated floors, individually-ventilated kennels, and the ability to house one hundred animals.

Director of the center, Iryna, told us why this new space is vital, "Unfortunately, most animals arrive sick or are already in the incubation period and after a while begin to suffer from a viral infection."

The quarantine room will allow the medical team to properly treat these animals and provide them a safe and quiet space to recover.

The state-of-the-art center goes above and beyond to care for each animal that comes through their doors and this addition will only help them save more lives.

Iryna shared with us that the center took in over 100 animals last month and is proud to report that 94 have found new homes. They work with organizations in other countries like Germany, Spain, Denmark and the Netherlands to find loving homes for the animals in their care.

The quarantine room should be completed in the next two months, which will be not a moment too soon. The community cat room is also expected to be completed by then which will allow felines to roam freely and nap in the sun while they meet potential adopters.

Your continued support is saving lives. Thank you!

GreaterGood CEO, Tim Kunin, recently visited with Iryna at the center and witnessed the progress of the build. Watch the video below to hear how it will impact the lives of animals in Ukraine.

Sadly, there are many more animals who still need help. Donate now to help provide medical care to evacuated animals.
