Puppy With Ruptured Eye at Risk of Euthanasia Needs Our Help

Meet Plankton

The 9-week-old terrier mix was placed on a potential euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter in Las Vegas due to a ruptured eye that needed immediate care.

The little fella was in a lot of pain and needed someone to save him. Thankfully, Vegas Roots Rescue took him in and brought him to the vet for care.

Plankton needed an emergency enucleation procedure. His eye was completely ruptured and there was no way to save it.

The rescue reached out to Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund to help cover his medical bills. The fund helps save animals like Plankton and give them the second chance they deserve.

Plankton still needs treatment to avoid infection and heal properly. He will undergo several weeks of recovery before doctors can reassess his injury to ensure he is out of danger.

You can help Plankton get the treatment he needs to heal. Your gift will not only give him the hope to keep fighting, but your donations will help cover his ongoing care.

Help us meet our goal of $4,000 for Plankton and pets like him.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
