This morning, on my way to see my dogs at the boarding facility, I found another kitten.

He was alone in the street, beside the wheel of a parked car at a busy roundabout full of traffic. The moment that car moved, he could have been crushed.

I think I had already heard his cries during the past few days when passing through that street, but this morning, I finally saw him.

He was sick, exhausted, suffering from severe cat flu, thirsty, hungry, and completely ignored by everyone around him.

I had water and food prepared in my car for my own cats, so I gave him some. He ate immediately.

Once again, I could not leave him there knowing he would die.

Tonight, he is sleeping in my car because I have nowhere else to safely isolate him from the other kittens I recently rescued.

I cleaned his eyes as much as I could, but he still needs treatment, eye medication, parasite treatment, and veterinary care that I currently cannot afford.

I named him Arthur because he looks so much like my beloved cat Arthur, whom I rescued when he was only one month old and loved deeply for seven years before losing him.

I am already caring for nearly 70 rescued cats and dogs completely alone, and every day, another abandoned animal appears needing help.

I am exhausted physically, emotionally, and financially, but I still cannot close my eyes and walk away from suffering.

If you would like to help Arthur and the many other animals depending on me, please consider supporting or sharing my fundraiser.

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
