Cat with Clouded Eye is 'Imperfectly Perfect' and Ready to Fill a Forever Home with Smiles

It's the start in life that so many kittens who come through our doors have experienced, surviving on high-traffic business area intersections. Webster, scooped up from an intersection of Weber and the 99, the main highway that runs through Fresno, California, found the right moment to appear for saving.

Dodging cars to find food isn't the only peril that young kittens face. Without a mama cat to guide them, they can eat things that are really bad for their systems. When Webster was brought in, he had health concerns that can be deadly in young kittens if not cared for. We were grateful that one of our accomplished foster homes could provide the constant care and monitoring needed to change the tide for little Webster.

He did also have to work his way through common health occurrences that we see frequently when kittens, and most likely mama, had no vaccines or proper care. Webster joyously went through all of his treatments with his siblings in his adoring and loving foster home. Then Webster began the "up for adoption" tour.

We are fortunate to have several locations that we work with to adopt as many cats and kittens into loving families as possible, and so many of our kitties will spend time at the different locations. This, too, can be a change and somewhat taxing. Although Webster acted like it didn't bother him, as he is a fun and relaxed spirit, his growing body broke with a case of URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) that affected one of his beautiful eyes. It left a bit of scarring.

He is completely healed, well, and thriving, but he now has some cloudiness in one eye that will remain with him for life. While it doesn't seem to affect him and shouldn't need any follow-up care, it makes it harder for him to get adopted, which isn't fair since he is the greatest cat companion you could ask for.

We think he is a magnificent work of art. However, some adopters have an understandable trepidation, even though we spend lots of time explaining why his eye looks the way it does. He is imperfectly perfect like we all are. Please look deep into Webster's being to see what a love, what a joy, what a blessing he is, behind his cute cloudy eye. Plus, how could you not want that bright half stache to guide you in the dark of night?!

Here's Webster's adoption profile:
