My daughter and I rescue animals. We currently have two dogs and 11 cats, each with a unique story.

Amaya, our bloodhound mix, was thrown out of a passing car when she was just three months old. Since then, we've also adopted Ladybug, a three-year-old Miniature Pinscher who was rescued from a puppy mill and had spent two months at a shelter before joining our family.
Four of our 11 cats—Eve, Raven, Ichigo, and Sapphire—are rehabilitated feral cats. Two others, B.A. and Nyac, were only two days old when they were found.
Sauske had third-degree burns when we found him. Another kitten, Arriette, had a broken leg when she was just two days old. We were told that her leg should be amputated, but we decided to try splinting it instead. Today, she has full use of her leg!
Tubbits and JuJu Bear came to us from someone who had severe cat allergies. JuJu Bear is blind in one eye and was initially very frightened. He would bite and scratch, but with time and patience, he became a very friendly cat.
Sapphire was trapped because she was extremely weak and starving. Gizz was also very sick when we adopted him.
Sadly, we've had to say goodbye to four cats—Pearl, Lithie, Yuukie, and Twoat—who had to be euthanized. May they all rest in peace.
Of our 11 cats, we're still looking for forever homes for two of them. A third needs a special-needs home with someone who has plenty of patience and understanding.
The picture we have is an older one, and our family has grown since it was taken. Our animals now range in age from two to 11 years old.
Four of our cats are black, and we have a special place in our hearts for them.
Our motto is, "There's always room for one more, and we love black cats!"
Please consider adopting older cats and black cats. They deserve loving forever homes, too!
