My children know I rescue animals and have trouble saying no, so they have brought home strays on many occasions. Usually, I am able to find new homes for these babies, but once in a while, I can't part with my foster animals.
Such was the case with these two cuties. Leon (the black cat) was found when he was four weeks old by my son at the park. I immediately fell in love with him. He is very small, affectionate, and talks to me. In fact, in the evenings, he meows something that sounds like "Hello" when it's time for bed. Then, he sleeps curled up on my shoulder.

Milo (the ginger tabby) is my baby. Literally. I can't tell my kids this, but I think I love him almost as much as I love them! He had been a barn kitten at my sister's farm who was dying after his mother could not nurse him. My daughter sobbed until I agreed to bring him home and try to save him.
After several days of bottle-feeding, Milo bounced back and now weighs over 17 pounds. When he came to live with us, Leon mothered him. He allowed Milo to nurse on him, and he bathed him. He also taught Milo how to jump and play.

When Leon caught a mouse in our country house, he gave it to Milo. Although I screamed when I realized what was going on, I was so proud that Leon was helping his brother.
These two boys make my life better. They, along with my other three cats and three dogs, are spoiled, but I don't care. They give me so much more in return. And, yes, I am a crazy cat lady and I wouldn't have it any other way!
