This is Roddy. He was rescued in August 2005 after being found inside a trash can, tied up in a plastic grocery bag. He was just five weeks old. His name comes from the street where he was discovered.

We adopted him a week after he was rescued, and from the very beginning, he was a joy to be around. He was playful, curious, and full of energy. The only lasting sign of the trauma he endured was that he was terrified of plastic bags.

Sadly, Roddy passed away suddenly at the age of eight from cardiomyopathy. Even though his life was short, he lived it to the fullest and filled our home with love every single day.
