I would like to start by saying hello to The Animal Rescue Site, all the staff, and all the other rescue dogs who have a story to tell, just like me.

Hello, my name is Teddy.

Come November, I will have been with my owner for three years, and I will be eight years young.

This is my story.

I used to live outside in a back garden, where I slept on a sheet of plastic. I don’t think I would have survived the cold winter. My owner’s niece brought me to him, and I was in a terrible state.

My coat was completely matted and full of fleas. I was also badly underweight, weighing only 5 kilograms.

I was taken to the veterinarian, where I had to undergo enucleation surgery. I also had to be fully sedated so the veterinarian could shave off my severely matted coat.

Now my owner says he has transformed me into Cinderella. He wanted to make me look pretty, but more importantly, he gave me a safe and loving home.

I have included some photos of myself, and I am so happy now. I will hand you over to my owner.

My little dog Teddy has transformed my life. When I rescued her, I didn’t realize that I needed to be rescued myself.

Like so many rescue dogs, this little dog has repaid me with more love and loyalty than I could ever have imagined. I am forever in her debt, and I love her with all of my heart.
