Expecting Parents Let Golden Retriever Pick Out The Baby's Name

Choosing a baby's name can be exciting, but there's also a lot of pressure behind it. After all, a name is often permanent, and it's something the child has to live with forever.

While some parents struggle to come up with name ideas they agree on, other parents have too many names to choose from, and they can't decide! What do you do when you can't decide for whatever reason?

One couple decided to get creative with their baby naming process by utilizing the family dog, Beau!

Beau the golden retriever loves playing fetch, like many dogs do. His parents decided to use that enthusiasm for the game to their advantage.

"We still haven't picked a name for our son, so we let our first baby decide for us," they said on TikTok.

"Who knew choosing a tennis ball could be this hard!" they added in the video caption.

To have Beau decide, the couple wrote down their top three name choices on three different tennis balls. From there, they threw all three balls and let Beau choose which one to go after.

Whatever ball he brought back, that would be the name they went with.

In the end, the family went with the name Frankie, thanks to Beau's tennis ball choice.

They shared the naming process back in April 2023, and they recently announced that Frankie has officially come home! In a sweet update video, they show Beau meeting Frankie for the first time, and it's really something special:

I think it's safe to say that Beau is going to be a great big brother.

Seriously, how cute are they?
