The Best Luxe Vacation Packages with Your Pooch are at the Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco

End of summer is nearing, and many people are looking to squeeze in one last getaway before fall, school, and the holidays are upon us. If you count yourself among them and are a canine owner, the Ritz-Carlton has just the thing for you. It's their luxury pet package called Love Your Pup, and it will not disappoint.

If you've stayed at the Ritz in the past, you know the lengths they go to in order to accommodate their guests. If you've never been, you're in for a treat. If you go by December 31, 2023, your pup's in for a treat, too.

Announced on April 11 in honor of National Pet Day, guests can book the Love Your Pup package filled with "luxe amenities and specialty perks" from local pet vendors knowing that a portion of the proceeds goes towards Muttville, a nonprofit focusing on senior rescues.

Supporting rescue and shelter pets is something most pet owners feel keenly about. If your actions could make even one homeless dog or cat's life better, you'd probably do it — even without the promise of reward. Now, you can have your cake and eat it, too.

For starters, who doesn't want to spend a little downtime in San Francisco? The City by the Bay offers world-class shopping, dining, sightseeing, and entertainment opportunities. Now, with your pup in tow, you can hit the town together in one of America's most dog-friendly cities, according to a recent survey.

Not that they don't already welcome and pamper dogs at the Ritz, but the package is said to offer an "elevated level" of service and amenities for them ensuring they receive the same luxurious treatment as their human counterparts.

Due to its partnership with Muttville, the hotel will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the rescue organization to help support their mission of improving the lives of senior dogs by finding them furever homes or providing them with hospice care.

With an estimated 78 percent of American pet parents traveling with their fur babies and San Francisco's pet-friendly reputation, it's a brilliant marketing strategy for a hotel that wants to curate an experience that is relaxing and enjoyable for both dogs and their owners while traveling.

The Love Your Pup package includes a plush doggy bed, food and water bowls, and a "welcome" gift bag filled with appropriate treats and toys. Three of the most enticing standouts of the stay are a 100 percent all-natural ingredient dog pastry created by local pet-pastry purveyors MISHKA as well as a gourmet pet menu created by The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco's Executive Chef, Patrick O'Sullivan.

In addition to the in-room amenities, the package is inclusive of an option to arrange for an in-studio professional pet photo session at a special rate from Sarah Zemunski Photography, a San Francisco-based fine art dog photographer.

"We're thrilled to be launching the Love Your Pup package in celebration of National Pet Day. Our guests' pets are important members of their families, and we want to ensure they are pampered and comfortable during their stay with us," said Stephen Power, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.

"We are also excited to be partnering with Muttville, where we can give back to a local non-profit organization and help provide needs for senior dogs."

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco was recently ranked the #1 Best San Francisco Hotel by the 2023 U.S. News & World Report and is the city's only AAA Five-Diamond hotel. For reservations, call 800-542-8680.
