Russia Drops 1,100 Guided Bombs on Ukraine in One Week Endangering More People and Pets
Ukraine remains under intense aerial attacks from Russian forces. After another heavy strike occurred over the weekend, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on X that over the past week Russia has launched 1,100 guided bombs, 560 drone strikes, and 20 missiles.
He said, "Russia does not stop its terror against Ukraine. Daily, it launches aggression against our people, cities, and villages, using various types of weapons."
The new glide bombs can travel farther and strike areas that were once considered “safe”.
Ukraine military members continue to risk their lives for their country and for animals left behind. Zelensky thanked the courageous individuals, "who work day and night to protect Ukrainians from Russian attacks, provide assistance, and are always ready to save lives."
The brave men and women comb the heavily bombed towns that are now just piles of smoldering rubble for survivors.
Terrified dogs and cats are found in the desolated areas and quickly rushed back to Patron Pet Center for care.
The state-of-the-art center welcomes the animals with open arms and gives them the care and love they desperately need.
The director, Iryna, told us that just last week they took in 78 evacuated dogs and cats. Many who were in need of medical care before they could be put up for adoption.
The center is committed to finding loving homes for all the animals in their care. They work with shelters and rescues in Germany to transport the dogs and cats out of Ukraine and to loving homes.
With your support, The Animal Rescue Site and Greater Good Charities are funding the expansion of the Patron Pet Center to help save more lives. The addition will include a much-needed quarantine room, additional kennels, and so much more.
Evacuated animals continue to arrive at the center. Donate now to help care for malnourished and injured animals and show these hardworking Ukrainians that we have not forgotten about them.
