Senior Dog in "Rough Shape" Finally Gets Care She Needs
Andrea Powell
Nine-year-old Pinkie arrived at Cimarron Valley Humane Society in pain with matted and missing fur, hematoma on her ear, and very depressed. The staff said she was in "rough shape" and needed immediate medical care.
Thanks to your generous donations, they were able to treat Pinkie and provide food and supplies like soft treats and a cozy blanket to her foster family. Once Pinkie realized she was safe she started to relax and devour the donated pet food.

She was gaining weight and nearly ready to be put up for adoption when disaster struck. She was rushed to a vet where they discovered immense pressure behind one of her eyes that needed to be removed.
Pinkie underwent surgery and is doing well in her recovery. This senior dog has been through a lot but remains sweet and friendly. She is getting nutritious dog food, soft treats, and all the love she desires thanks in part to your donations.

Shelters are seeing more senior dogs surrendered due to no fault of their own. These gray-muzzled dogs have a hard time adjusting to shelter life. Help keep them comfortable until they find a forever home by purchasing a Support Pack for Senior Dogs.
