Your donations are changing the lives of shelter pets across the country. Every purchase you make, daily click, trivia, and more on The Animal Rescue Site all helps feed and care for shelter pets.

In addition to these daily actions, your donation of care packs to shelter pets are making sure that each dog and cat has the food and supplies they need while they wait for a family of their own. Read how your generosity helped spoil shelter pets, Custard and Century.

Custard is a Great Dane mix with a personality as big as he is. His two favorite things are toys and treats, which your donations helped provide. He is happy to show you all of his tricks for a treat, of course.

The energetic pup loves playing with toys that give him the physical and mental stimulation he needs. His shelter shared, "Custard is food motivated and already knows basic commands, treats are especially useful during one-on-one interactions. They can be used to reinforce positive behaviors, practice commands, and make training sessions both engaging and rewarding. Play is another important part of Custard’s routine. Toys are among his favorite things, so the Ring Toy provides another outlet for activity, enrichment, and interaction with his caregivers."

Custard is still waiting for a forever home.

This shy kitten was overwhelmed by the loud shelter environment and needed some extra attention to come out of his shell. He was taken in by a foster and provided with the nutritious food and essential supplies needed to care for Century, thanks to your donations.

His foster shared, "For Century, foster care provided an opportunity to experience everyday life outside of the shelter while receiving consistent, positive interactions with his caregiver. Interactive play was especially valuable because it gave Century opportunities to engage in a fun, low-pressure way. Experiences like these can help a kitten become more comfortable with human interaction and build confidence in a home environment. Having supplies like kitten formula and interactive toys readily available also allowed his foster caregiver to support both his physical needs and his social development."

Century is now a playful kitten who quickly won the heart of an adopter. He is living his best life now. The shelter told us, "SPCA Florida can continue providing animals like Century with resources that support their individual needs and help prepare them for their next chapter."

More Help is Needed
