Woman Tries to Sneak Turtles Through Airport Security... in Her Bra

People regularly try to skirt screening rules at airports, from something as serious as hiding weapons to something a bit more innocent, like hoping no one will notice a full jar of peanut butter. However, between the two extremes are hidden animals. Airport security officials are highlighting one such incident, involving undergarments.
When a Facebook post from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) starts like this, you know there will be a bit of a tale: “OK friends, please - and we cannot emphasize this enough - stop hiding animals in weird places on your body and then trying to sneak them through airport security.”
The weird body part sneaker was a Florida woman flying out of Miami International Airport. She had tried to get through a checkpoint with two turtles... in her bra. Pictures shared in the post show both of the animals wrapped, one in what appears to be cloth-like material and the other in plastic wrap.
Unfortunately, one of the turtles did not survive. The other was taken to the Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife, whose partnership TSA says they appreciate.
TSA, known for its puns on social media, provided some helpful tips: “We want you to be able to travel with your pets, and you turtle-ly can, but please travel with them safely. You can start by reaching out to your airline for their rules concerning pets on board flights. As far as TSA screening goes, small pets are allowed through our checkpoint but must be removed from any carriers and carried through the checkpoint (notice we said ‘carried’ and not ‘hidden underneath your clothing’).”
