Dog Unable to Walk After Being Hit by Car Gets Second Chance
Andrea Powell
A sweet dog named Dora was struck by a car in a war-torn village in Ukraine and left to suffer. She was unable to move and in immense pain.
Thankfully, she was rescued by Lala, owner of 12 Guards, and brought to a clinic to be examined. She had a shattered pelvis and needed emergency surgery to give her a fighting chance at walking again.

Surgery was a success, but it was just the beginning of a long road to recovery.
The next six months were spent at a foster home where she slowly healed and learned to walk again. Each day she grew stronger. She remained a friendly and loving dog throughout the entire healing process.

Once she was able to walk, run, and play as a dog should she was put up for adoption. It didn't take long for her to find a loving family. She now spends her days playing outdoors with her human siblings and cuddling on soft blankets at night.

She is one of the lucky ones that was rescued and given a second chance, thanks in part to your continued support. Lala and Krystina continue to rescue sick, injured, and malnourished animals from the war-torn streets. They need your help to feed and care for all these hungry animals until they find forever homes.
