This dog was found outside near the site of the Eaton Fire that devastated a huge swath of the Altadena neighborhood in Los Angeles. Rescuers don't know his real name so we're calling him Boo.
When Boo was rescued, he was covered in burns and very dehydrated. His paw pads were singed and he was coated in ash. It was incredibly painful for Boo to put any weight on his feet and his eyes were irritated. He was brought to Pasadena Humane and is currently being treated by their veterinary team in their ICU. They are providing him with wound care, pain medications, and fluids. Boo is in stable condition, now, but will require ongoing care to heal from his injuries.
In spite of all he has been through, staff at Pasadena Humane report that Boo is the sweetest boy. He perks up when he hears people talking to him and leans into anyone who gives him attention.
