Businka is in a lot of pain and needs our help.

Businka is one of thousands of pets caught in the crossfire of Russia's brutal attack in Ukraine. People have fled the areas under attack, but many innocent animals remain and need to be evacuated. 

The estimated 15-year-old feline was struggling to survive in an abandoned area being bombed daily.  

She arrived at the Patron Pet Center after military members rescued her from the Sumy region. Her mouth was full of rotten teeth and every bite she took was painful. 

Most of her teeth were extracted and a mass on her stomach was removed. Businka has a long road to recovery ahead, but she is finally safe.

Brave volunteers are risking their lives to save animals left behind on war-torn streets and bring them back to the Patron Pet Center. However, the center is overcrowded and desperately needs more kennels. 

The Animal Rescue Site is partnering with the Patron Pet Center and Greater Good Charities to help build a quarantine room and dedicated space to house over 200 rescued cats until they find a new loving family.  

The Patron Pet Center is a state-of-the-art facility that was designed with pets in mind. Animals that have been traumatized by war are treated both physically and mentally before they are put up for adoption. A veterinarian and architect created the relaxing space to help both dogs and cats recover from everything they've endured.
