Woman Rescues Rooster And Now He Sleeps In Her Room Every Night

It's not every day that you see a rooster living inside someone's house. But at Jennifer Lewis's house, that is the case.
In fact, her pet rooster, Barth, is a very important part of the household, and he's living his best life being an indoor rooster.

Barth might be living a good life now, but unfortunately, that wasn't always the case.
According to The Dodo, Lewis had previously rescued the rooster when he was known as Stumpy.

He was in pretty rough shape, having lost his feet to frostbite. When Lewis first saw Barth, it was heartbreaking, so she immediately took him in to help him.
As she said to The Dodo of her beloved rooster, "Barth, a little 2.5 pound animal, has changed my life."

The two are very close. They share an unbreakable bond, with Barth even sleeping in Lewis's bedroom, waking her up every morning with his crowing. That must be convenient to have your alarm clock right there beside you, wouldn't you say?
