Banjo was rescued from a local shelter when he was just a pup by Wags to Whiskers, a Oklahoma rescue that focuses on helping pit bull breeds but also takes in mix breeds, cats, and farm animals.
According to the rescue, "He quickly started learning the ropes of the rescue and was so popular, we made him the official Social Director!" Just look at that face...
The rescue team managed to wrangle the unruly miniature horse - George.
"George was a roaming Romeo who went over, under, and through every fence in the county! We lassoed this cranky ole toot that wanted to do what HE wanted to do. Back at the ranch, we let him throw his tantrums of kicking, snorting, and leaving us in a cloud of dust. But, Oh! How we DO love a challenge! With a lot of patience, time, consistency, and yes, treats are the bomb, George started coming around," shared the rescue.
Banjo wasted no time in meeting the new fella and now visits George daily on his rounds. The two are best friends and thriving, thanks in part to your support.
Greater Good Charities' GOODS program provides pet food and supplies to shelters nationwide saving them money to be used on rescue missions and veterinary care. The rescue is grateful for the help and said, "Thanks to the Goods Program, we can take on the most challenging rescues that otherwise would slip away forever."
