With support from The Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good Charities (GGC) has performed several shelter pet evacuation flights in areas devastated by recent hurricanes.

Hurricane Helene and Milton caused catastrophic damage to several states that will take months to clean up and rebuild. Lost and displaced pets continue to arrive at animal shelters that are already struggling to feed all the animals in their care.

That's why we are conducting emergency flights to fly shelter pets to freedom and open up kennels for the displaced pets.

This week, the GGC team worked with shelters in Tennessee to fly 58 cats and dogs to the Pacific Northwest to find forever homes.

The NOAH Center, one of the receiving shelters, had staff on the tarmac to welcome and transport 24 kittens and 4 adult cats back to the shelter.

Seattle Humane and Kitsap Humane Society took in the other animals and all are adjusting to their new surroundings. "First plane, then ferry, and finally car... our new residents have arrived ❤️," Kitsap Humane Society wrote. " Next stop, home!"

These animals have been through a lot. Soon they will be put up for adoption and find loving homes.

Your donations have helped save hundreds of lives, but more flights are needed. Donate now to help.

Click to Help James

James and his blind brother, William, were found abandoned on the street when they were just four weeks old. James was born with one blind eye that started to cause him discomfort. Over time, that eye became increasingly painful and irritated. James is the seeing-eye cat for his brother, making his condition even more urgent to treat.
