Team USA continues to earn medals at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The athletes are pushing themselves to the limit as fans cheer them on. However, their biggest fans are their beloved pets who are both an inspiration and stress reliever.

Olympian Gabby Thomas won the gold medal in the woman's 200m race with a time of 21.83 seconds, thanks in part to her rescue pug cheerleader.

In addition to her dedication and intense workouts she has a loyal pal who is always by her side. In a video posted by NBCUniversal Local's Clear the Shelters, Thomas shares how her rescue pug named Rico has long legs like her and loves to run.

He is always there to encourage Thomas and offer love and kisses after a hard workout. Thomas also claims that Rico is "probably the fastest pug in the country".

She is probably right, especially if he trains alongside her. Thomas also admitted that Rico would beat her in a race, or at least that is what a video would show.

It is clear how much Thomas and Rico love each other and the two are as she said, "a match made in heaven". We all know who will be waiting at the door to celebrate with his champion mom when she returns home from Paris.

Check out the video below and be like Thomas and adopt!
