Shelter Animals Evacuated After Hurricane Helene Find Loving Homes in Wisconsin
Thanks to your support, Greater Good Charities and The Animal Rescue Site were able to conduct emergency evacuation flights for shelter pets after Hurricane Helene devastated several southern states.
One of those flights carried dozens of shelter animals from South Carolina to Wisconsin to find loving homes. The receiving shelters, Elmbrook Humane Society and Humane Society of Jefferson County, shared that many have already found loving homes.
Check out the photos of the animals with their new families and notice how happy they all are. You helped make this possible, so thank you!
These animals have been through a lot but are now in loving homes. We want to thank all those involved from the flight team to the shelter staff that made sure these innocent animals got the love and care they needed.
Also, a huge thank you to adopters for opening their hearts and homes to these adorable dogs and cats. Lastly, thank you for continuing to support our mission to help people and pets in need.
Together with Greater Good Charities, we have mobilized 140 trucks with food, water, hygiene products, pet supplies, and more—delivering over $8.7MM worth of critically needed aid.
Help us save even more lives by donating towards our monthly Flight to Freedom that rescues dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and flies them to shelters with open kennels and adopters waiting to meet them.
Just $5 flies a pet 125 miles towards safety. Donate today!
