The biggest football game of the season is played on the second Sunday in February. It is also an important time for animals shelters and homeless pets.
The Animal Rescue Site and Greater Good Charities hold their annual Shelter Bowl the week leading up to the big game.

This is one of our biggest fundraisers of nutritious pet food for shelter pets across the country. Overcrowded is the new normal at animal shelters and they need our help now more than ever to feed all the homeless animals.
Emaciated dogs like Duke arrive at shelters in need of medical care and nutritious food to regain their health. This poor fella was found outside in the hot Oklahoma sun with no shelter or food.

He was brought to a local shelter who helped him regain his strength thanks to donated pet food.

Underweight Irwin was almost euthanized before Friends of Metro Animal Shelters (FMAS) rescued him. He was hit by a car and left to suffer on the side of the road. He was cowering in the back of his cage afraid of people and other dogs when FMAS saved him from an overcrowded shelter.

It took months of regular meals and training, but Irwin has transformed into a happy and healthy pup.

Sadly, animals in horrible condition arrive daily at shelters. Donate now to help feed these innocent animals and give them the second chance they deserve.
Help us reach our goal of providing 3 million meals to shelter pets across the country during this year’s Shelter Bowl.
Together with the Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good Charities created the Shelter Bowl to celebrate the big football game and raise awareness and funds for shelters. We need your help to donate pet meals and doses of NexGard® PLUS (afoxolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) to animal welfare organizations nationwide. This includes shelters impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires as well as shelters in Kansas City and Philadelphia.
Donate today and your donations will be doubled thanks to a generous match from Boehringer Ingelheim.
