Food is one of the most vital needs for animal shelters and their most significant expense. Unfortunately, more money spent on food means less funding for other life-saving programs for the animals in their care. Already strapped for resources, shelters and rescues across the country face uncertainty. We're here to help fill that gap, ensuring animals waiting for their forever homes always have a full belly.
Together with the Animal Rescue Site, Greater Good Charities created the Shelter Bowl to celebrate the big football game and raise awareness and funds for shelters. We need your help to donate pet meals and doses of NexGard® PLUS (afoxolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets) to animal welfare organizations nationwide. This includes shelters impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires as well as shelters in Kansas City and Philadelphia.
Meet our Shelter Bowl MVPs
Duke was found, living outside with his family in the heat of an Oklahoma summer. They had very little water and even less food. Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue saved them in the nick of time. Thanks to donations of food and other supplies from Greater Good Charities Duke and his siblings have bellies full of puppy chow and treats and a promise of a better future!
Poor Irwin, a one-year-old, severely underweight dog, was found injured in a ditch on the side of the road. He had been hit by a car and left in pain. Friends of Metro Animal Shelters (FMAS) felt their heart strings being pulled and picked Irwin up from a local municipal shelter before he could be euthanized. Rescuers spent many months working with Irwin to help him overcome his fear of people and other dogs. Donations of nutritious food, toys, and treats were exactly what FMAS needed to save Irwin's life!
