Animal shelters do what they can but don't have much in the way of extras for special occasions as they focus their resources on basic needs and necessities for shelter pets. Let's show these shelter dogs & cats some extra love like we would for our own pets with a fang-tastic Howl-oween with a special bag of treats!

Treats also help aid in training to make dogs more adoptable, and they help keep the dogs calm in a stressful environment. Let these dogs know we are thinking of them this Halloween and that we wish them "Bone" appetite!

Impact

Nova Marie is a gorgeous brown tabby with a heart as soft as her fur — and that’s saying something! This big, floofy beauty is pure comfort in cat form. Nova Marie was lovingly surrendered when her family could no longer afford her care, and now she’s ready for a fresh start. Despite all the change, she’s remained her sweet, gentle self — always ready to lean in for pets, purrs, and a little affection. She’s the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home — content to lounge beside you as the leaves fall outside, happy just to share in the quiet warmth of the season. 

One of the most meaningful benefits of this donation was the joy and comfort it brought to the families we serve. Many of the families in Operation Foster's program are navigating extraordinary challenges, including military deployments, medical crises, financial hardship, housing instability, or other life-altering circumstances. During these periods of uncertainty, even small gestures can have a profound impact. Being able to provide pets with special treats, new toys, and comfort items helped create positive experiences for both the animals and their owners. 

Rosetta was a Texas street dog that showed up at a local feeding station for strays. She was emaciated covered in sores and scared. Our local team members were able to coax her into their vehicle. She immediately lay down and slept. The first thing she did was curl up on her favorite purple blanket and warming bed. The treats were also a big hit for her! The collar is extremely important as many of these street dogs are fearful and our flight risks. The collar allows her foster home to keep her safe when going outside, and to veterinary appointments. Today Rosetta is at a normal body weight, her coat has improved, she was spayed and she has been adopted. Her favorite purple blanket, warming bed and treats, accompanied her to her forever home.
