50 Cats and Kittens Rescued from Deplorable Conditions in Montana Apartment

A Montana shelter stepped up to help with a heartbreaking cat hoarding situation that involved 50 cats that range from adults to newborn kittens.
The felines were living in squalor in a cramped apartment without adequate food and care. Rescuers found cats under piles of garbage searching for food.

These poor cats are suffering from malnutrition, infections, flea and mite infestations, and untreated wounds.

They need your help to heal and get a second chance to find a loving home.
A two-year-old brown tabby named Scarlett is one of the rescued felines who needs your help. She arrived at the shelter underweight, dehydrated, covered in feces, and infested with worms.

She will need intensive deworming treatment and care to regain her strength. She is also very timid due to her living situation and will need time to trust humans again.
It will take weeks and months to rehabilitate all the cats. Shelter staff are working tirelessly to care for them all but need our help.

Greater Good Charities' Emergency Animal Medical fund is helping with the cost of their care. With your continued support, the fund helps save lives through emergency medical care.
Sadly, hoarding cases continue to occur across the country with dozens of innocent animals in need of medical care.

With your donation, you can help save the lives of animals like these cats through emergency medical care. Will you be there in their time of need? Give today.

February 16-22 is National Justice for Animals Week to raise awareness about animal abuse and a reminder that animals need us to be their voice. Check out how you can help a fox rescued from the cruel fur trade and dozens of abused dogs get the care they need.
