Lucky was brought into a shelter in Ukraine when a local stumbled upon the wounded kitten. He was bleeding, with both hind legs fractured and his tail nearly torn off.
Little Lucky underwent emergency surgery to remove dead tissue on parts of his tail and paw. While the doctors were operating, they discovered signs of hip dysplasia in his hind legs, and have arranged for a second surgery to address his joint complications.
